A master of Oriental music. He was born in Jerusalem 1948. His father "Omar" – who was a
well known composer and performer on "Kanoon, Uod, and violin" - taught Hasan the basics
of Arabic music. Hasan loved all types of music and was curious to learn playing different
types of instruments. But his highest fond was for
the Nai wind-instrument. He was able to get Nai's from good Nai makers in Syria and started
the journey of self-education. Hasan believed that music education is very important to
crystallize the talent.
Then, Hasan continued his studying and graduated from the Arab
Music Institute / Cairo-Egypt in 1970 as a "Nai" player. Over
there, he met many musicians who were considered pillars of music
and started learning from them, until he met the master of Nai the
late Mahmood Effat. Then, Hasan started the journey of learning
from Mr. Effat until he felt that he needs more. Hasan met more
musicians with whom he exchanged experiences.
Hasan traveled almost to all countries and he made hundreds
of friendships.  He kept on performing and teaching in The
Jordanian conservatory until his reputation spread all over
the world. During early age he - along with other musicians -
established the first Jordanian Music Union. Hasan toured
the whole world from east to west representing Jordan in
dozens of international festivals. He was invited by:
Enchordais music international organization, The
MediMuses project, The Miguel Angel Estrella, The
Ecume,The International Nai Conference in Turkey, and
many others.
Recently, he is being invited for
seminars and lectures in many
European universities until
this moment. I learnt from my father
Arabic Classical music and Western
Classical music thoroughly. Not to
mention the many music projects
together, especially (My Summer
Dream) - music composed by me for
the orchestra accompanied by Hasan
Faqir on Nai.
